“The day was very long but I’m glad we went. Hugo was our guide and he was funny, and very professional. The bus was very clean and the seats were comfortable and the a/c was perfect. The cenote was really cool and the water inside was quite cold. First time to a cenote and I thought it was pretty cool. I would highly recommend this travel company if you were interested in the same experience.”

“The itinerary was very well coordinated. All information and updates regarding the tour were well communicated via email. We got to visit Chichen Itza, a cenote (+ buffet lunch), and had a tequila tasting in Valladolid. At each stop, there was a guided portion as well as some time to explore on your own. Our guide Hugo was knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. He made the tour quite enjoyable and interesting. Transportation was provided in a modern, air-conditioned bus. Our driver Eduardo made the ride comfortable and got us between destinations in a timely manner. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour!”

5.Cancun Best ATV Tour, Ziplines and Cenote Swim with Lunch

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 3,406 reviews · 4 hours (approx.) · from $48

ATV through the jungle, zip lines over treetops, and a cenote swim, plus tequila tasting and tacos, with hotel pickup and insurance.

“The good and the bad. First the good- the cenote swim was the best part just wish it was for longer. The tequila tasting was cool as well. Now the bad- the atvs are just riding In a complete straight line that you just keep turning around and you keep doing the same thing over and over again. The atv’s are also very out dated. The ziplines are just three tiny ziplines barely off the ground. The worst part though is they try to ask you to tip on every little aspect of your experience. Like no joke every area we went to the tour guilds are giving you some…”

Half-day snorkel for sea turtles at Akumal and swim in Yax-Muul cenote, with pickup, gear, and empanadas. From Cancun.

“First up, our guide, Luisa, was great, with fluent English (and German) and en route provided excellent commentary on what we could expect from both the snorkelling and the cenote. On arrival at Akumal, we were again fully briefed on how to use the snorkels and fitted with life jackets. We had been told that we couldn't - and indeed mustn't- take our phones but not to worry because the company had an excellent photographer, our own personal 'papparazzo'. There was then a slightly forced photoshoot on the beach. After that we boarded a little boat and were taken out to a point beyond the snorkelling area and jumped in.…”

“Carlos our tour guide was great! The pick up and drop off was prompt and professional. Carlos took great care of us throughout the day. He gave us a lot of information about Chichen itza. He was very kind, personable, and informative. We would definitely take a tour with him again. The only knock I have is with the Office. The communication was a bit sketchy. They were supposed to send us contact information, etc. and they never did so we weren’t quite sure how the pick up would go, but Carlos was there on time and again took real good care of us through out the day!”

Sailing Tour through the Laguna de los Siete Colores - Price and timing: how to get value for $40

13.Sailing Tour through the Laguna de los Siete Colores

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 1,521 reviews · 3 hours (approx.) · from $40

Sail Bacalar’s Seven Colors Lagoon in a small group, with swim stops, included brunch snacks, and sunset-friendly timing options.

“Great tour! It was nice to only have a small group (about 6), there were two groups which set of on separate boats. Both of our crew were lovely and friendly. The water is beautiful, both areas we swum in were crystal clear. We also had plenty of time, it didn't feel rushed at all. Only thing to note (which I wasn't aware of) is that you can't wear sunscreen in the lagoon, you're asked to shower when you arrive if so. Some people had long sleeve tops to swim in, which I'd recommend as I got quite sunburnt.”
