(Getting there early also had us miss the rain but I can’t really give the tour operator credit for that, we were just really lucky!)”

I strongly recommend this combo tour to cover two of the main regional sites.”

“Hot day, but we got started as soon a we got off the boat. Francisco was super friendly and informative of the area's history. Van had excellent AC. Drive is about 45m minutes on a straight road. Husband saw a huge tarantula run across the road. Drinks and snacks offered multiple times on the trip. He said they were buying another mini bus to accommodate larger groups. Offered to take us downtown, but it was too hot for our liking so he brought us directly to the port gate.”

“Worst excursion and contact information. To start off they sent an email stating we would be on island time when I was on a cruise ship with NO internet. There was no place on the original post that states it was on island time not ship time. Then once we were texted RUDELY we rushed to get to the meeting spot. Finally on the bus, we find out it’s 1.5 hr drive to the boat ride. We even had to stop for the bus drive to use the bathroom. Once we get to the boat place. We get on a party boat and told we have to wear life jackets…”

“The trip was wonderful, from the moment we got to the van and they took us to the meet up point, communication was great, services were amazing and all the employees were very friendly. The bus ride didn't feel that long as our guide made it fun and enjoyable. We did the whole package so we had another driver that was waiting for us after the Mayan ruins and he took us in a separate van, where he had cold drinks and pineapples. He was really nice as well. The lagoon was very peaceful, the food was amazing, and the service was great. They took us back to the port…”

Lorenzo was very knowledgable about the Mayans and filled the hour of travel to the ruins with useful information on local culture, economy and history and he has an archeology background which was very useful. The village provided a delicious traditional meal and it was fun making tortillas, and it brought tourism dollars to the local economy that otherwise wouldn't benefit. Highly recommend. It's a little tricky to find them out of the port...the address gets you almost there but I was staring at an empty building and the viator listing didn't provide the tour provider name, which i think is Native Tours. Everyone found it eventually but…”

“Our tour guide Edder was amazing and very knowledgeable. He gave us a great tour! The resort at 7 colors lagoon left more to be desired given the cost of this tour. The biggest issue was the tour says it starts 1 hour after the cruise ship arrives. Our cruise ship arrived at 8:30. We arrived at the tours office at 9:25 and the van had already left. We had to use a taxi to catch up to the tour van down the road. We weren’t the only people from our ship that this happened to.”

Great ruins sight and history , and good lunch on the beach. They also got us back to the cruise on time! Highly recommended!”
