“We ended up waiting 1 hour at Rio Secreto in order to be taken on the Plus tour. We didn't realize the wait would be so long. Be forewarned you may nerd to wait a bit before your tour. We were also originally handed the blue "regular" tour bracelets instead of the black "plus" tour bracelets. We had to inform staff of the mixup, so be sure to confirm which bracelets you get when they put it on you. “Great trip but one complaint: the trip description says you will never see group while exploring the underwater cave. This is why we chose this trip versus any other others. Such was NOT the case as another group quickly came up behind us. We had to stop let them pass and then they were visibly in front of us the rest of the way. 😢😢”

“We took the option of Rio Secreto + Plus that included 4 activities in total. We absolutely enjoyed all activities and the stories we were told by our guide. At the end of the tour we had a nice Mexican food in a buffet. The only downside was the price for the photo package ( you are not allowed to do your own photos): they wanted $120 US dollars for pictures. If they would sell them for half price, I believe they would have more success in selling those photos- otherwise they lose their money because not that many people are willing to pay that amount.”

“Amazing experience. A bit scary at first but I’m glad I did it. I cannot swim and I was able to do this activity with my family which also includes a 10yr old. Guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Coba tour was cool also but it was hot because we went I July and I was dying for air conditioning. Lol. But it was great and I would do it again.”

“The tour is extremely commercialized. It felt like being a photo model. You were constantly being told to stand in certain positions so that the photographer could take pictures of everyone. That took up a lot of time. At the end, you could buy the photos for $135. It would have been nicer to see more of the cave and have more time for explanations.”
